My name is Ria Vieira— a 5’1” 22 year-old currently residing in New York City. I’m a born and raised east-coaster and a proud Trinidadian-American. Can’t exactly say when I got hit with the “film bug” but I haven’t stopped seeking out stories. I can be found traveling to festivals like Cannes, Philadelphia Film Festival, Tribeca, SXSW, and Toronto and writing about all types of film— from the blockbusters to the undiscovered.

I named this site Film Le Fou after Jean-Luc Godard’s 1965 film “Pierrot Le Fou”. It’s a crazy film drenched in saturated pop culture references, littered with cryptic poetic language and fantastical dialogue. It completely altered my understanding of what film is capable of and, well, that’s what this is all about.
